About the event

Hello Darchive community and fellow creatives.

After a short break from welcoming our newborn into the world, we're back to announce our next networking event.

"Darchive 7: Unknown"

Our goal with this event is to bring creatives of all kinds to a singular place in hopes of creating surrealism. If surrealism is out of your wheelhouse, then just to create in general. Our ultimate goal beyond the art is to spark community, and connections, and to bust down any and all gates within Portland's creative community.

This event is for camera-centric creatives of all experience levels and we hope that experienced creatives share their expertise with the newer artists they meet. We are here for everyone to grow. If you only now learning about our community, understand that down-looking or negative behavior will not be tolerated. Creating a safe space for all is extremely important to us and our extended community.

Important info about sign-up and waitlist:

This is the first event where we will not have a cap. However, we will have limited RSVP tickets for each category of creative to control the ratios. In other words, we do not want to have 10 photographers photographing 1 model. We will release tickets in even ratios. If your category fills up, please contact us to enter the waitlist. If enough of the other category fills up, we will release more of each ticket and you will be first in line for sign-up.

If you join as a photographer, we expect you to take photos, and deliver them to the models.

No creepy behavior before/during/after the event.

Our extensive core community is vigilant and protective, so if you're new to Darchive with ill intent, we strongly advise you to skip this.

Do not touch models without their consent.

Please do not post your photos to social media/websites until the model has received all photos.

We do not tolerate any form of bullying, hate speech, or misgendering.

Please tag everyone involved with your photo process (models, photographers, hosts, studio and lighting)

Theme and Inspiration: Unknown

Surrealism is the primary objective, so honestly, wherever the mind takes you. For more complicated concepts, we will have discussion boards to communicate and plan.
