Since 2016 I've been relentlessly chasing better photographs and experiences through fine art, editorial portraits, branding, products, music, and authentic moments at weddings. Our little family owns and manages Cobalt Studios PDX, Portland's main photo studio, where Michael (Nilas) also serves as the primary in-house photographer. At the core of the Pacific Northwest's creative photography scene exists a small family that dedicates their time and lifestyle to a line that goes "community over competition." In a society that is entrapped in online presence, Rose and Michael (Nilas Photography and Cobalt Studios) work their ass off to create a hub for creatives of all kinds to meet, network, collaborate, and learn in a real-life setting. We cultivate a network where full-timers and hoppy-types can build standards, share feedback, grow portfolio, elevate their skills, and can, face-to-face, discuss relatable experiences. Join us.

Photography events for public and commercial cleints

We attempt themed and standard bulk photography sets (mini-session) for the public, in studio or on location. These range from standard headshots to themed Awkward 80's or Christmas with Krampus.
