Hello Darchive people!!!

We have missed everyone SO much. We are extremely excited to be hosting our very first Darchive in the studio with you! The tickets are free. You must RSVP to join the event, as there is limited space with it being held indoors. 15 model and 15 photographer spots are available. Photographers, you must bring your own flash trigger that will connect to our Profoto lights. We recommend renting a flash trigger from Pro Photo Supply https://www.instagram.com/prophotosupply/ ($10). Our theme is Cinematic Dystopia. That is hard to explain, so I made a board that I will post below. We will have the lights set up accordingly and we can assist in switching it up throughout the night. You may use the entire studio to shoot in as well, including the upstairs. Feel free to bring additional lighting, but keep space in mind. Handhelds and continuous would be best, we have some awesome strobes.

Expectations

There is not enough room for extra people, so only ticket holders may join. We will have over 30 people in the studio.

If you join as a photographer, we expect you to take photos, and deliver them to the models.

No creepy behavior before/during/after the event.

Do not touch models without their consent.

Please do not post your photos to social media/websites until the model has received all photos.

We do not tolerate any form of bullying, hate speech, or misgendering.

Please tag everyone involved with your photo process (models, photographers, hosts, studio and lighting)

Theme and Inspiration : 2124

As mentioned above, it's hard to describe in text. We initially wanted to do something involving new years and landed on... Imagine we're not entering 2024, but rather 2124. Since we're going to be in the studio, we can utilize full control of light and utilize gels or modify lights. This could create some futuristic looks right in the camera, or optimized even further in post. For outfitting, we don't want to dictate, but rather you bring your own interpretation of what 2124 might be like. Dystopian, utopian, apocalyptic... you do you. I know we will likely come in something a little more "dystopian". There will be some great inspo in the link below.

Extras

If you'd like to help set up the event or support in preperation, there are a few things we'd like to add. We're looking for interesting or makeshift light reflectors, modifiers, film sheets, plexiglass, filters or prisms, colored mylar... anything fun to mess with that bends light, creates color, or makes depth.

Extra props like masks or cool rags could be cool.

Lastly, donations to help with snacks, above mentioned items, or just bringing snacks on the day of is extremely helpful. If you prefer to pitch in dollars, we can accept donations via Venmo @nilas with memo 2124 or Darchive. <3

Cancelling

If you need to cancel, that is no problem. Please, please, please let us know a couple of days in advance. With this event being limited, we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend the event, that way we can give your ticket to someone else :)
