Hey guys, Rose and Michael with Cobalt Studios! 

We just purchased Cobalt Studios on October 1st, but we haven't had the opportunity to start making all the changes we'd like before hosting an intro party. After a month of insanity with the transition into the space, weddings, and other photo sessions, we've decided to move forward with a laid-back soft intro (pre-renovations)!

Whether you're a photographer, model, past client, make-up artist, hair stylist, lighting specialist, long-time friend, or simply interested in viewing our space, consider dropping in on November 10th from 7 p.m. onward! It doesn't matter if we've known you for years or if we've never met, we'd love to see you here!

Our biggest goal with Cobalt Studios is to build community

A lot of creatives might resonate with this statement, but being creative (especially full-timers) can be a pretty lonely pathway. It's intimidating at times to step out and meet fellow creatives or people to share ideas with and learn alongside. We hope to do our best to bring faces together and spark new connections, and we aim to maintain an all-inclusive environment, so please don't be shy! Community over competition! 

What we're doing at this event

Mostly, just kicking it! Ask questions, say hello, network, talk about how to improve the space and community, tour the space, eat food, drink drinks, etc. 

The goal is not to shoot, but lights and equipment will be available, so dress up/bring your gear if you'd like! If you're unfamiliar with lighting, there will be plenty of people who can answer questions.

One last note: We will be painting over the signature wall, and we wanted to involve the community in this task! 

Is there a cost?

We're doing a potluck or pitch-in, so please let us know what you could provide, or we're asking you to donate some $$$ at checkout (enter $0 if you're bringing a potluck item or don't want to pitch in). Most of the donated funds will go towards pizza, but if you want or can pitch in more, any leftover funds will go into renovating the community spaces in the studio to make this space more impressive for anyone we all bring into this space or purchasing educational material and lighting guides for studio users. We honestly don't make much here, so help in this way is immensely appreciated. We're also seeking old unused cameras to decorate the front room, as well as unused backdrops, gear, and props. If you have anything you want to offer up, please bring it in. Thank you!
